Head to the Clark County Marriage License Bureau (201 E. Clark Ave). Both of you need to show up in person with a valid photo ID. No appointment. No waiting period. No blood test. It’s $102 and good for one year. They’re open daily from 8 a.m. to midnight—including holidays.
Vegas has three main options:
Bring your license, ID, and a witness (most chapels provide one). You can wear whatever you want—truly. Some chapels even rent outfits if you’re trying to pack light + want to leave it to the universe what you will wear on your wedding day.
Avoid big holidays and fight weekends—things book fast and cost more. Weekdays = cheaper and quieter. If you’re going the chapel route, book 24–48 hours ahead. Walk-ins still happen often.
It’s quick. Like 10–20 minutes. Afterward, your officiant files the paperwork. You can order certified copies of your marriage certificate online for $10 each.
Plan on spending $200–400 for the basics: license + ceremony + legal copy. Rideshare to the license bureau from the Strip is around $20.
Your marriage is legal immediately. Need proof for name changes or other legal stuff? Order your certificate before you leave Nevada—it’s faster and easier than doing it by mail later.
You need more than just photos. You need someone who knows the logistics, the permits, the timing, and how to keep things simple. That’s what I do.
